Zillah M Gillenwater
August 26, 1922 - October 28, 2006
Zillah M. Gillenwater, 84, died Saturday, October 28, 2006 at Hospice Savannah. She was a native of Dixon County, Virginia was a member of Southside Baptist Church for over fifty years. She was active in the Sunday School as a teacher for many years and was a member of the Women’s Missionary Union. She was a volunteer for the Savannah Baptist Center.
She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Hagen B. Gillenwater, of Savannah, two sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Susan Gillenwater, of Savannah, and Garry and Nancy Gillenwater, of Clyo. She is also survived by two brothers, Olis Marshall, of Butler, TN, and Kenneth Marshall, of Bluff City, TN, one sister, Arlene Cowden, of Kingsport, TN, and four grandchildren, Brent and Meredith Gillenwater, of Clyo, and Corey and Clinton Gillenwater, of Savannah and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at Southside Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Bonaventure Cemetery.
